Yin Noe won March's Shell LiveWIRE Smarter Future Award for her business, Coillection.
Coillection is an online platform that helps households in the UK better dispose of used cooking oil by providing an efficient and innovative solution for collection of the waste oil. Used cooking oil can be converted into biodiesel which is a carbon neutral fuel and an important renewable energy source; Coillection is taking advantage of this resource across the domestic sphere. Instead of households pouring oil down the kitchen sink where it can solidify in the pipes causing blockages and damaging the surrounding environment, Coillection will collect the used cooking oil from houses and school collection points directly via a provided container.
